Start the New Year with a much needed rejuvenation of your business strategy and we are not just talking about conducting a print audit or updating your MFPs.

  1. Devise a new marketing strategy
Does your company have a mantra? Or a brand promise? If so, is it still valid for the fast paced technologically advanced business arena of 2015? Do you values still hold up? Looking at this it could be time to reinvent your values and put those new promises out to your existing and potential customers. Stay true to the primary principals you founded your company in, but let the public know that you are a synergistic and forward thinking enterprise.
  2. Set yourself clear targets.
You will of course have fiscal targets for the upcoming financial quarter but take a look at other quantifiable properties within your business such as customer feedback, service efficiency, and employee satisfaction. You can expel bad practices from within and increase positivity in definable terms by addressing more than just profit.
  3. Vow to increase customer engagement
The customer is the lifeblood of your company and communication is key. Take a look at new methods for communicating with them but also opening easy and effective channels for feedback. If you haven’t done so already you might start to think about utilising the ever growing Social Media platforms as a way of making yourself more accessible to your customers. Use language that is appropriate and easy to understand rather than insider and business jargon.
  1. Invest in product development
Where possible, updating your product range and technology can be incredibly valuable. It is one thing to claim you are moving with the times but advancements in product development will speak for itself. If research and development is possible, this will be a great place to focus energy and resources. If in house development is not an option, diversifying your product range by exploring new suppliers is always advantageous and you stumble on to the latest trend if you keep an open mind and get in on the ground floor.
  2. Execute on your marketing plan
Stick to your plan and try and incorporate it into everything public that the business undertakes. Trade shows are an excellent opportunity for speaking directly to potential markets and selling your business.

As you can see engagement plays a key role in developing your business. Everything revolves around the customer and it is our advice that this is the place to focus efforts this coming year.
